About
musicNeutral began as a non-profit site allowing users to make micro-payment donations to their favorite musicians.
Since then the site has evolved into a research project/blog examining free music culture and the future of “the music industry”.
Chris Castiglione started musicNeutral in the summer of 2007 to explore how musicians and culture are being effected by P2P file sharing and the free culture movement. Castiglione is himself a musician (Dance at the Postoffice) and a New Media MA student at The University of Amsterdam. His gmail address is castig[at]
