No Doubt Is Giving Away All of Their Music with the Purchase of a Concert Ticket
Written by: Chris Castiglione
No Doubt have decided to give away their entire catalog of music to fans that buy a “top-priced ticket” (above $42.50) to their summer tour.
No Doubt guitarist Tom Dumont had this to say about the offering, “Since the band is heading back to the road, we wanted to find a cool way to get people listening to our music and stoke them with a great deal at the same time. With this download its easy for fans to get psyched up to hear our music live once again and that rocks.”

I’d give away things too if I’d already made millions on it over the past 15 yrs.
This hardly supports people starting from scratch and giving music away for nothing. Rather, it supports signing a record contract, having a label finance all of the albums, massive touring, promotions, merchandise, etc. then 10 years later saying,”yeah, here’s all of the music for free now”
Of course this case alone isn’t a precedent for all musicians to start giving away their music. But what I’m illustrating with this site is the growing trend of artists who are experimenting with the idea. And probably more importantly is looking at the initiatives that musicians are taking when their music becomes free. How does it affect their career? their music? and the industry in general?
My boyfriend bought the tickets but I lost the link
to get the archive — is there any way I can get it back??
My boy didn’t tell me what the link was for I thought it was just tour dates or something (I should have read it)

if you know how to help me. I will never remember to come look at this site.
